Do you need a licence?
Leisure craft under 500 GT with total engine power over 30 kW (40.8 hp) need a certificate at sea or inland. DPD confirms an exemption for a 3.6 m/20 hp dinghy. Applicants must be over 16 for A/B and over 18 for C/D.
