Terms of Use
IALACOLREG is a free educational resource. By accessing the site, you agree to these terms. They are governed by Spanish law.
1. Acceptable use
Personal study and non-commercial educational use is welcome. You may not scrape the site at scale, abuse the API, attempt to bypass auth, or republish substantial portions of the content without permission. If you want bulk content access, email us.
2. Accounts
Signing in with Google creates an account. You are responsible for the security of your Google account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law, with notice where reasonably possible.
3. Intellectual property
Original content (rule explanations, quiz questions, illustrations, code) is © IALACOLREG and licensed for personal study only. Regulatory text reproduced from IMO/IALA/national authorities remains the property of the respective rights-holders. You retain all rights to content you submit (corrections, email messages); by submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it to operate and improve the service.
4. No warranty
Content is provided "as is" for study purposes only. We make no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. Seafarers must consult the primary regulatory texts and their national authority for operational decisions.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Spanish law, IALACOLREG is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time, including for maintenance.
7. Termination
You can delete the IALACOLREG records covered by the dashboard control at /me; see the Privacy Policy for its scope and other deletion requests. We may suspend access for serious breaches of these terms; in that case we will, where possible, give you a chance to remedy the breach before termination.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of the consumer's place of residence (where applicable EU consumer protection rules grant that right) or, otherwise, to the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
IALACOLREG Exam Pass: terms of sale
These terms apply when you buy an IALACOLREG Exam Pass. They add to the terms of use above.
What you buy
An Exam Pass gives your IALACOLREG account 12 months of unlimited timed mock exams, every practice level, your full mistake bank, every simulator scenario and certificates for passed exams. The Exam Pass covers the COLREG, buoyage, lights, signals and radio parts of a boating licence exam. It is not a full national syllabus, an official course or a qualification, and a certificate is a record of practice, not an accreditation.
Price and payment
You see the price, including VAT where it applies, before you pay. Stripe processes the payment on its secure checkout; IALACOLREG never sees or stores your card details. Stripe confirms the payment on screen when it is complete, and if a receipt is emailed it goes to the address you gave at checkout.
Access for 12 months
The Exam Pass starts as soon as your payment is confirmed and lasts 12 months. It belongs to the Google account you were signed in with, so it works on any device where you sign in with that account. It does not renew on its own: you are only charged again if you buy another pass.
Immediate access and withdrawal
The digital service starts immediately after payment with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that, once access starts, you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Without that consent and acknowledgement, the statutory right remains. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Your statutory rights for faulty or non-conforming digital content remain unaffected. Confirmation of your consent and acknowledgement must be provided on a durable medium.
If something goes wrong
If the Exam Pass does not work as described or the service ends early, contact us. Your statutory remedies, including any refund required by law, remain unaffected.
Seller
The seller is CONSBA, SCCL, trading as Dockia Labs, the cooperative that operates IALACOLREG. Its full identification is in the legal notice. Checkout and your bank statement show DOCKIA LABS.
