Do you need a licence?

Rules differ by entity and Brčko. FBiH: exam from 18 for craft subject to inspection; ship's boats and specified club-registered paddle craft are exempt. RS: certification from 18, except ship's boats, unpowered racing craft and noncommercial unpowered boats up to 3 m. Brčko: certification, with exemptions.

    Navigation theory covers inland and sea rules, signs and charts; practical covers boat handling, docking, anchoring and engine operation.
