The studio opens on Free rope. Tap that name at the top left to switch to a guided knot, or keep playing freely with the rope.

Watch, then copy
Show me plays one move. Drag your own rope to copy it — the red end is the one you move. Hint points to the next pass.

Over, under, check
At each crossing choose Over or Under. In a guided knot, Check compares your crossings with the knot you are learning.

Is the knot studio free?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no sign-in, and your rope and progress stay on your device.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. Tap Full screen at the top right first: the rope gets the whole screen and the crossings are much easier to see. Then drag the rope with one finger and use the Over and Under buttons.
Does a passed check mean my knot is safe?
No. Check compares the pattern of crossings. Practise on real rope, with an experienced sailor, before you rely on a knot aboard.
